Towne West Square is an enclosed shopping mall located in Wichita, Kansas, United States. Opened in 1980, it comprises more than 80 stores in 951,447 square feet (88,392.3 m2) of gross leasable area. The mall's five anchor stores include Convergys, Dick's Sporting Goods, a Dillard's Clearance Center and JCPenney. Sears (the sixth anchor store) closed in December 2014, leaving one anchor space vacant. The original anchor stores in the mall were: Dillard's, Henry's, JCPenney, Montgomery Ward and Service Merchandise. Sears opened in 1994 (14 years after the rest of the mall) moving a store from the open air Twin Lakes Center. The Henry's store has since been sealed off from the rest of the mall and currently houses a Sears Hometown store and a night club. In 2017, Dillard's converted their men's store in the old Montgomery Ward into a Dillard's Clearance Center after shuttering the women's store on the malls north side.
