The Brick is a Canadian furniture chain that currently has over 200 locations across Canada and is currently owned by Leon's.
History[]
The first location opened at Edmonton, Alberta on September 1, 1971, a few years later, they expanded towards Fort McMurray, Alberta, around 1975, The Brick bought out Bad Boy Furniture which had around 40 locations in Ontario, all 40 locations ended up being converted to the Brick brand, around March 2004, The Brick bought out United Furniture Warehouse and converted around 24 of their locations into The Brick, on November 11, 2012, The Brick's main rival Leon's bought out The Brick for around 700 million dollars, around July 2017, a new concept chain called The Brick Outlet is established converting all United Furniture Warehouse and Brick Clearance Centre locations into the new outlet brand.
