Sport Chek is the largest Canadian retailer of sporting clothing, sports equipment, with stores across Canada (excluding Yukon). Its parent company, FGL Sports Ltd., operates stores under the following corporate and franchise banners: Sport Chek, National Sports, Sports Experts, Intersport, Atmosphere (formerly Coast Mountain Sports), Tech Shop, Econosports, Nevada Bob's Golf, and Hockey Experts.

Sport Chek was created on January 1, 1999, in Alberta quickly expanding towards other Canadian provinces during the early 2000's, Sports Experts, the sister company of Sport Chek had locations in Quebec and Yukon, by the year 2011, Canadian Tire fully bought out Sport Chek's parent company at the time "Forzani", since then, Canadian Tire became the main owner of both Sport Chek and Sports Experts. Bigger Sport Chek location then began to open during the late 2010's, as of today the company sits with over 190+ locations.
