Parisian was a department store chain begun in Alabama. In 2007, the majority of the chain was sold to Belk, except for three stores in Michigan which were acquired by The Bon-Ton. These three stores are the only three that retain the Parisian name. A fourth store, in Ohio, was converted to a second Elder-Beerman, while one in Kentucky became a Macy's. A fifth store in Indiana, was converted to a Nordstrom.
