Marley Station Mall is a two-level shopping mall 14.7 miles (23.7 km) southeast of downtown Baltimore, Maryland, between Americana Circle, Marley Station Circle, Paul T. Pitcher Memorial Highway and Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, a suburb of Baltimore. The mall has three open anchors which are AiNET, JCPenney and Macy's.

History[]

Marley Station Mall opened to the public on February 24, 1987 and was developed by Taubman Centers. The mall's original anchors included Hecht's and Macy's. In 1994, the mall was expanded which added a third anchor, JCPenney. In 1996, a fourth anchor was added which was Sears. In 2004, Taubman Centers sold the mall to Mills Corporation, which later became Simon Property Group in April 2007. In September 2006, Hecht's closed and Macy's relocated to the former space, while the original Macy's space was replaced with a Boscov's. In 2008, Boscov's closed down due to bankruptcy. In January 2012, AiNET opened in the former Boscov's space.

Decline[]

During 2012, Marley Station Mall began to see a massive decline as the mall's vacancy rate increased to 33%.
