This section of the Malls & Retail wiki rules showcases the warning and ban system that is used across every user on the Malls and Retail Wiki, this system does not apply to existing staff members.
Warning system
On the Malls & Retail Wiki, users who break rules typically receive three warnings before they are blocked. These warnings usually expire about 30 days after being issued. This is dependent on what rule was broken and past infractions.
If you have one past block, you will be reduced down towards two warnings.
If you have two past blocks, you will be reduced down towards one warning.

| Warning 1 | This is the first warning that can be given. The warning message will be left on your Message Wall and list what rule you broke. You will be told not to do it again. | You will be ineligible to become a staff member within the next month. |
| Warning 2 | This is the second offense given out. It is similar to the first one. | Same effects as Warning 1. |
| Warning 3 | This is the final offense given out, breaking any rule again after this will result in a block. | Same effects as Warnings 1 & 2. |
Block system
Block lengths depend on the rule you broke and your past blocks. Breaking any rule after receiving your third warning also results in a block.
If you have no past blocks when breaking an instant-block rule, you will be blocked for one week.
If you have one past block when breaking an instant-block rule, or if you break two instant-block rules, you will be blocked for one month.
If you have two past blocks when breaking an instant-block rule, or if you break three or more instant-block rules, you will be blocked permanently.

| Block 1 | 1 week | This is typically issued for violations that would normally result in an instant block, or if you have received more than three warnings. After around one week, you will be allowed to return to the Malls & Retail Wiki. |
| Block 2 | 1 month | Usually given out from breaking two rules that result in an instant-block, or if you receive more than two warnings with one past block. After around a month, you will be allowed back on the Malls & Retail Wiki. |
| Block 3 | Permanent block | This is typically issued for breaking three instant-block rules, violating a rule that warrants a permanent ban, or receiving more than one warning while already having two prior blocks. A permanent block means you are permanently banned from the Malls & Retail Wiki. You will no longer be able to edit pages or make posts, though you will still be able to view content on the wiki. |
| Bonus | Global block | This block is usually given out by Fandom staff. If you are global-blocked, we unfortunately have nothing to do about it. You will have to contact Fandom staff instead. |
