A Lone Star Steakhouse And Saloon In Warren, Ohio

A Lone Star Steakhouse And Saloon In Warren, Ohio(closed 2016, currently Outback Steakhouse).

Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon is a casual dining restaurant chain, serving steak, seafood, salad, and similar food items. Lone Star opened its first restaurant in 1989 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In March 1992, Lone Star became a public company with eight restaurants opened. By the end of 1995, there were 182 restaurants in America. Lone Star ended the 1990s with 265 Lone Star restaurants. In August 2006, Lone Star became private.

In 2008, Lone Star closed 27 restaurants, resulting in 152 locations.[3] By late 2013, Lone Star had 78 locations. By December 2015, they were down to 64 locations.[4] as of January 26th 2017 only around 30 restaurants remained open.

As of March 2019 the company website lists 4 locations, however only two actually remain. The Mount Vernon, IL restaurant closed in March 2019 but is still listed on the website, and the Mt Pleasant, MI location is permanently closed, but is still listed on the website as open. The last remaining restaurants are located in North Carolina, and in Guam.[6] Curiously, none of the Texas-themed restaurants can be found in the state of Texas, from which the restaurant's name is derived.

In October of 2019, the last location in the continental U.S. closed, leaving only the Guam location. Also around that time, the website was shut down.
