Loch Lomond Place is an enclosed shopping mall located at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, it technically isn't a mall anymore but still has a few tenants inside as of today such as Dollarama, Tim Hortons and Dooly's.
History[]
The mall opened back in 1967 with 2 anchor stores, those being Woolco and Sobeys during the 1970's, the mall was facing competition from other malls such as McAllister Place, Prince Edward Square, Brunswick Square and Lancaster Mall with the most successful one being McAllister Place. Not much happened with the mall during the 1980's, in 1994, Woolco was converted into a Walmart after their buyout, in 1999, Walmart closed its doors after relocating right across the street from McAllister Place, the former Walmart location was then replaced with offices during the early-mid 2000's. Sobeys closed during the late 2000's since they already had locations at 149 Lansdowne Ave and McAllister Place leaving the mall with no remaining anchor stores, during early 2018, Tim Hortons relocated to a free-standing building that was directly next to the mall, Dollarama opened their location at the mall in 2021, as of today, the mall still remains open but there are no more interior tenants.
