Kent Building Supplies is a Canadian home improvment store that operates around 48 locations across the maritimes areas in Canada.
History[]
Kent Building Supplies opened their first location back in 1974 at New Brunswick, soon after, they began expanding across the province, by the early 1990's, Kent Building Supplies began expanding outside of New Brunswick with a location in Nova Scotia and then locations began opening at Newfoundland & Labrador. By the early 2000's, Kent Building Supplies became a very large home improvment retailer in the maritimes along with competitor chains such as The Home Depot which at the time began opening locations in the maritimes causing competition, in the year 2015, Kent's parent company would buy out Central Building Supplies, converting all of their locations into Kent Building Supplies locations, most of the locations that were converted were in Nova Scotia, as of today, Kent Building Supplies remains as one of the largest home improvement chains in the maritimes.
