HomeSense is the name of an off-price retailer in both Canada and the United Kingdom. It is owned by TJX Companies.

Canada[]

HomeSense, part of TJX Canada, introduced the home fashions off-price concept to Canada in 2001.

HomeSense offers customers a broad array and rapidly changing selection of home basics and home décor merchandise, including giftware, accent furniture, lamps, accessories, and wall décor. HomeSense also offers items for the kitchen, dining room and bedroom.

This chain operates in a standalone and superstore format, which pairs HomeSense with Winners.

At year-end 2012, HomeSense operated 88 stores, with standalone stores averaging approximately 25,000 square feet in size. We believe that HomeSense has the potential to be a 90-store chain in Canada.

United Kingdom[]

HomeSense introduced the off-price home fashions concept to the U.K. in 2008.

This business offers our U.K. customers great values on top-quality home fashions, including home basics and home décor merchandise for the living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, bedroom and outdoors, as well as additional giftware.

HomeSense ended 2012 with 24 stores, which averaged approximately 21,000 square feet in size. We believe that the U.K. and Ireland market could support 100-150 HomeSense stores, long term.
