Future Shop was a Canadian electronic brand that closed all of their stores by 2015 after merging with Best Buy.
History[]
The company was founded in 1982 by Hassan Khosrowshahi which left Iran to open a Future Shop store in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, by the year 1990, 38 stores were operating in Canada and the United States. Best Buy bought Future Shop in 2001, after that, they started opening stores in Canada, the store's design then changed during 2008. By the year 2013, Best Buy started closing Future Shop locations as part of a transformational strategy from the company, all stores were closed by March 28, 2015 with some being converted into Best Buy locations.
