Fossil Group (also known as Fossil and Fossil Stores) is an American fashion designer and retailer that operates 364 locations across several different countries and is headquartered at Richardson, Texas, United States.
History[]
Fossil Group was founded in 1984 by Tom Kartsotis which was at the time a university student living in Dallas, Texas, he began expanding the brand across Texas several years later, during the 1990's, Fossil Group began expanding outside of Texas into the rest of the United States, in 2001, Fossil Group bought Zodiac Watches from Genender International, 3 years later, they also bought Michele Watch. During the late 2000's, Rolex began building watch studios across Europe mainly in the United Kingdom, in 2012, Fossil Group bought Skagen Denmark for 225 million dollars and bought Misfit 3 years later, in 2014, Fossil began opening locations in Canada, by January 2024, Fossil Group announced that they would be leaving the watch buisness but most of their locations still sell watches.
