Euclid Square Mall was a one-level shopping mall 12.3 miles (19.7 km) southeast of downtown Cleveland, Ohio, between East 260th Street, Babbitt Road, Lakeland Boulevard and Interstate 90 in Euclid, a suburb of Cleveland. The mall had two anchors which once housed Dillard's and Outlets USA.

Mall History[]

The mall was developed by Richard E. Jacobs and was opened in March, 1977 on the site of a former Chase Brass & Copper Co. tubing mill. Originally the mall had 92 store spaces with May Company and Higbee's as its original anchor stores. In 1992, Higbee's was converted into Dillard's and in 1993, May Company was converted into Kaufmann's. The property at Euclid Square Mall also contained 5 outparcels which included Toys R Us, Dollar Bank, Stop & Shop, Red Lobster, a convenience plaza, and another bank. In 1998, Kaufmann's closed and relocated to Richmond Town Square in Richmond Heights. In 1997, the mall was sold to George Zamias and then in 2002, George Zamias sold the mall to Haywood Wichard. The Dillard's store was converted into a Dillard's Clearance Center, the store's upper level was closed off. In 2004, Outlets USA moved into the former Kaufmann's space, however, Outlets USA closed in 2006 as the mall's owner thought that the outlet vendors were not a good blend of merchants and tenants. By 2006, the mall was almost half vacant with not many stores left inside. By July 2013, the mall had about 24 churches inside. In September 2013, Dillard's Clearance Center closed down. On September 19, 2016 the mall permanently closed down due to safety concerns ordered by the city of Euclid. In 2018, the Euclid Square Mall was completely demolished and an Amazon Fulfillment Center started construction on the former Euclid Square land. Amazon opened in 2019.
