Confederation Mall is a Canadian enclosed shopping mall located at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the mall currently has around 42 tenants and 4 anchor stores.
History[]
The mall opened back in 1973 with 2 anchors, Safeway and Woolco, the mall had many tenants when it first opened, not much happened to the mall during the 1980's but stuff was being built around it, Woolco was replaced with Walmart in 1994 after their buyout, soon after, the mall had a huge renovating relocating the Safeway store to the other side of the mall, the old location then became a new food court. A third anchor store space was also built for a future tenant, which would later be Family Video and then Petland by the year 2000, during 2009, Walmart began construction of a new location over at 225 Betts Ave, the location later opened by 2010 closing the location at Confederation Mall permanently, the new Walmart housed a McDonald's and Tim Hortons being the only Walmart in Canada to do so, a few months later, the old location was replaced with Canadian Tire. A new Winners would later open at the mall, Safeway closed on February 29, 2020, the former location would later be replaced with Freshco, as of today, the mall still has many tenants.
