Colonial Park Mall, formerly Colonial Park Plaza is a one-level shopping mall 5.0 miles (8.1 km) southwest of downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, between Colonial Road, Jonestown Road, Interstate 83 and Interstate 81 in Lower Paxton Township, a suburb of Harrisburg. The mall has one open anchor which is Boscov's.

Power Center[]

Colonial Park Mall originally opened up as a power center named Colonial Park Plaza which opened in 1960. The plaza had two anchor stores which were Sears and Food Fair.

Enclosed Mall[]

In 1970, the Colonial Park Plaza was enclosed and the mall was renamed to Colonial Park Mall, adding a third anchor which was Pomeroy's. In 1979, Food Fair had closed and was converted into mall space. In 1987, a third anchor was added back to the mall which was Boscov's. In 1990, Pomeroy's was converted into Bon-Ton. In 1997, Glimcher Realty Trust acquired Colonial Park from Catalina Partners LP. In 2014, Washington Prime Group purchased the mall. In 2017, the mall was purchased by Kohan Retail Investment Group.

Decline[]

Ever since Kohan purchased the mall in 2017, the mall has been declining ever since and stores began to quickly vacate as the rent was extremely high at the mall. In 2018, Bon-Ton closed down due to bankruptcy. In November 2021, Sears closed down, leaving Boscov's as the only remaining anchor tenant at the mall.
