Cineplex Entertainment is a Canadian movie theater headquarted in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, they currently operate 165 locations.
History[]
Cineplex was first formed in the year 1999 owning Galaxy expanding to 19 locations by the year 2003. By the year 2005, all Famous Players locations in Ontario and Western Canada were rebranded into Galaxy movie theatres, 7 Cineplex movie theatres in Quebec were sold to Fortune Cinemas on March 31, 2006. as part of AMC Theatres exit from Canada in June 2012, 4 of their theatres ended up being sold to Cineplex, during the early 2010's Cineplex began opening VIP Cinemas locations in Ontario, during the year 2013, Cineplex rebranded most of the Empire Theatres locations in Atlantic Canada.
