Centerpointe Of Woodridge opened in 1993 with Sam’s Club, Kmart, OfficeMax, Sports Authority and Kmart. Part of a strip center which featured all of Kmart's properties at the time, as well as a Kmart, there was a Pace Membership Warehouse and a larger Builders Square called Builders Square 2.

On June 22, 2000, The Home Depot opened to the public on the right side of the shopping center.

Kmart closed in 2002. JCPenney opened in its place on May 11, 2007. Sports Authority closed a few years later. It was replaced by Hobby Lobby in 2013. On June 30, 2017, Sam’s Club closed 2 locations, Woodridge, Illinois and Exton, Pennsylvania. A month later, JCPenney closed along with 137 other stores.
