ABC Warehouse, or ABC Appliance, is a appliance and electronics retailer based in Pontiac, Michigan which operates a chain of 42 retail stores in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. The chain also operates 16 Mickey Shorr Mobile Electronics stores, and 2 Hawthorne Home Appliances & Electronics stores. The business was founded in 1963 by Gordon Hartunian. In the last few years ABC has added mattresses and furniture to their retail offerings.
History[]
ABC Warehouse was founded by Gordon Hartunian in 1963. The first location opened in Center Line, Michigan. After several years of running this one location, a second and were opened in two other cities in Michigan: Pontiac and Flint.
Over the next several decades, dozens more locations were opened throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, and the ABC Warehouse chain continues to be successful today.
